Historical foundations and heritage
History
From the time of Cleopatra, Cassiopeia, Nefertiti and Poppea to distinguished women of the 19th century such as Sissi, donkey milk has featured in many accounts. Eurolactis, with a modern approach, continues this age-old tradition.
Legends
Since the dawn of time, donkey milk has been part of many legends and rituals, including stories about Cleopatra. It also has a place in cosmetics.
Foundation
Our journey began with the vision of two nations—Italy and Switzerland—around this ancient heritage. With the creation of Eurolactis, a supply chain dedicated to donkey milk production was established. This marked the beginning of an activity combining production and traditions associated with donkey milk.
Goals
At Eurolactis, our vision goes beyond simply producing milk. We are dedicated to honouring the rich heritage of donkey milk and developing its production. Looking to the future, we aim to develop our activities in the food and cosmetics sectors.
