The Origins
Founded on the basis of a collaboration between Italy and Switzerland, Eurolactis is proud to be the first company dedicated entirely to the production of donkey’s milk.

Foundation of Eurolactis in Morges, Switzerland, initiated by Pierluigi Christophe Orunesu.
OCTOBER 2007
Opening of an operating subsidiary in Italy.
MARCH 2008
Formal strategic agreement with Montebaducco.
JANUARY 2009
Start of processing of fresh donkey milk into powder.
SEPTEMBER 2009
Scientific collaboration agreement signed with the CNR-ISPA in Turin and Avellino, Italy.
MAY 2010
World's first patent application for isolated probiotic strains.
FEBRUARY 2011
6-month partnership with FC INTER, validating the nutritional benefits of donkey milk for elite athletes.
DECEMBER 2014
Donation of two donkeys and donkey milk powder to Pope Francis by Pierluigi, President of Eurolactis.
MARCH 2016
Launch of the first UHT liquid donkey milk in 100ml TetraPak with Granarolo (project interrupted due to premature separation of the casein).

Launch of the first Swiss donkey milk chocolate with master chocolatier Fornerod.
JANUARY 2017
Initiation of the donkey milk protein concentrate project with renowned experts in neonatology.
OCTOBER 2019
Participation in the 5th EMBA International Milk Banking Congress in Turin, presenting the positive results of recent clinical studies on the use of asses' milk in paediatrics.
